- We're committed to supporting you through this process and eagerly await the opportunity to assist you in understanding and navigating your ADHD assessment with greater clarity.
Preparing for Your Assessment
GP Referral
While a general practitioner referral isn’t mandatory, in most cases ADHD can be managed by your GP after initial assessment by a psychiatrist. Without a GP referral no Medicare rebate is available.
Childhood Observer
Where possible we require a short questionnaire to be completed by someone who has observed you as a child before the age of 12. This can be a parent, guardian, sibling, teacher etc
Quiet Environment
A peaceful environment not only aids in concentration but also ensures that your responses and interactions during the assessment are as natural and accurate as possible.
